To counter drops in solar feed-in-tariffs in Victoria and New South Wales introduced in January 2017 - some customers turned to smart battery systems.

Reposit customer Bruce Malcolm told ABC News that the best thing about solar battery storage was that it "was our power now, we're not just giving it away to the company to give back to us at an outrageous rate".

CEO of Reposit Power Dean Spaccavento told ABC that "the Reposit box, isn't just a controller - it makes your solar generation a power station, just like any other power station in the electricity market. It responds to prices and delivers electricity when it needs to".
